SAVING FACE

Sometimes I don't know why I bother. Like the other night, we had plans to meet some friends in downtown St. Petersburg which has some great restaurants, and is also a great place to see and be seen. I pictured myself sitting outside at one of the street side tables, chatting with friends, sipping great wine and looking very cosmopolitan. Unfortunately, due to a very bad sense of direction, I ended up having to walk half a mile (okay four blocks,)from my car to the restaurant, and by the time I arrived I looked like a sweaty version of Heath Ledger's Joker. Instead of my friends commenting on my chic outfit and stylish hairdo they were fanning me and dabbing my forehead with water soaked napkins. Oh well, still, a good time was had by all.

Anyway, here are my finds for this week. As promised, I did hit the Clinique counter this week.

Clinique Super Moisture Makeup, Teint Hydration Maximum: Yes. It goes on very smooth, and gives a moist sheen. Those who prefer this over a matte look will not be disappointed. One thing to note, it gives light coverage and may be more of a daytime foundation.

Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15: Sure. It delivers what it promises, sheer hydrating coverage with a natural finish.

Oil of Olay filling and sealing wrinkle treatment: Nah. I used it and still look like I drag on a pack a day when in reality I have not had a cigarette since my dad found one in my purse in 7th grade.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Next week I think I'll hit the MAC store and make one of those 12 year old make up artists do my face.
